Managing Airfare Price Monitoring Subscriptions
Subscriptions allow you to track airfare price changes for routes and airlines of interest to you. Add subscriptions and the app will monitor prices for you.
What is a Subscription?
A subscription is a tool for automatic airfare price monitoring. When you add a subscription, the app tracks price changes for your selected route, departure city, or arrival city for a specific airline.
Subscription Types
Choose a subscription type based on what you want to track:
Route Subscription
When to use: If you know a specific route you travel frequently.
Example: Tracking Lufthansa prices on the Moscow → Berlin route.
What’s tracked: Airline prices for a specific route (from city A to city B).
How to add a route subscription?
- Open “Price Monitoring”
- Click “Add Subscription”
- In “Subscription Type” select Route
- Find and select an airline in the “Airline” field
- In the “Route” field, select your desired route (the list populates after selecting an airline)
- Click “Subscribe”
The subscription will be added and start monitoring prices.
Departure City Subscription
When to use: If you need to track prices for flights from a specific city, regardless of destination.
Example: Tracking Lufthansa prices for flights departing from Moscow (to any city).
What’s tracked: Airline prices for all flights departing from your selected city.
How to add a departure city subscription?
- Open “Price Monitoring”
- Click “Add Subscription”
- In “Subscription Type” select Departure City
- Find and select an airline in the “Airline” field
- In the “City” field, find and select your departure city (type the city name or IATA code). The list shows only cities available for the selected airline.
- Click “Subscribe”
The subscription will be added and start monitoring prices.
Arrival City Subscription
When to use: If you need to track prices for flights to a specific city, regardless of departure point.
Example: Tracking Ryanair prices for flights arriving in Barcelona (from any city).
What’s tracked: Airline prices for all flights arriving at your selected city.
How to add an arrival city subscription?
- Open “Price Monitoring”
- Click “Add Subscription”
- In “Subscription Type” select Arrival City
- Find and select an airline in the “Airline” field
- In the “City” field, find and select your arrival city (type the city name or IATA code). The list shows only cities available for the selected airline.
- Click “Subscribe”
The subscription will be added and start monitoring prices.
Managing Your Subscriptions
Viewing Your Subscriptions
All your active subscriptions are displayed in “My Subscriptions”. Each subscription shows:
- Airline — the airline you’re monitoring
- Subscription Object — the route (City A → City B) or city
Adding a New Subscription
Open the Add Subscription Dialog
Click the “Add Subscription” button in the “My Subscriptions” section.
Select Subscription Type
In the “Subscription Type” field, choose one of three options:
- Route — monitor a specific route
- Departure City — monitor flights from a city
- Arrival City — monitor flights to a city
Find an Airline
In the “Airline” field, start typing the airline name (e.g., “Lufthansa” or its IATA code). A list of matching airlines will appear — select the one you need.
Select Route or City
- For Route: The route list loads automatically after selecting an airline. Select your desired route from the dropdown.
- For City: Start typing the city name (e.g., “Moscow”, “MSK”). A list of matching cities will appear. The list is filtered by the selected airline, so you only see cities served by that airline — select the one you need.
Create the Subscription
When all fields are filled, click “Subscribe”. The subscription will be created and added to your list.
Deleting a Subscription
Find the Subscription in Your List
Open “Price Monitoring” and locate the subscription you want to delete.
Click the Delete Button
On the right side of the subscription, you’ll find a button with an X. Click it.
Confirm Deletion
A confirmation dialog will appear. Click the “Delete” button to confirm.
The Subscription Will Be Archived
The subscription will be removed from your list. The data is preserved in the system.
Restoring a Deleted Subscription
If you deleted a subscription but want it back, it’s simple:
- Add the subscription again (select the same airline, type, and route/city)
- The system will automatically restore the old subscription instead of creating a new one
- All data from the archived subscription will be used
It works like “undo delete” — you won’t lose any data.
Search and Filtering
Airline Search
The airline search field works intuitively:
- Search by airline name (e.g., “Lufthansa”)
- Search by IATA code (e.g., “LH” or “DL”)
- Type a few characters and the system will find matches
City Search
The city search field supports:
- City names (e.g., “Moscow”, “Barcelona”, “Dubai”)
- IATA codes (e.g., “MSK”, “BCN”, “DXB”)
- The system shows several options when matches are found
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add multiple subscriptions for one airline?
Yes, you can add unlimited subscriptions for the same airline. For example, you can monitor:
- Moscow → Berlin route
- Moscow → Paris route
- All flights from St. Petersburg
- All flights to London
Each subscription will be tracked independently.
Where do I find my subscriptions?
Your subscriptions list is in “Price Monitoring” → “My Subscriptions”. All your active subscriptions are displayed there.
Why don’t I see the route I need in the list?
The route list only shows routes that exist in the database for the selected airline. If your needed route is missing:
- Check that you selected the correct airline
- Verify that the route is actually served by this airline
- Try adding a subscription for the departure or arrival city instead of a specific route
What if I accidentally delete a subscription?
Don’t worry! The deleted subscription is archived, not lost. If you add the same subscription later, the system will restore the archived version.
Can I edit an existing subscription?
No, editing subscriptions is not possible. If you need to change a subscription’s parameters:
- Delete the current subscription
- Add a new subscription with the desired parameters
Is there a limit to subscriptions?
There is no limit to the number of subscriptions. You can add as many subscriptions as you need for price tracking.
Tips and Recommendations
Tip: Use different subscription types for maximum flexibility. For example, if you frequently travel from Moscow, add a departure city subscription for Moscow with your preferred airline. This lets you see all flight offers from Moscow in one view.
Important: The price change notification feature is under development. You can currently add and manage subscriptions, but automatic notifications are not yet available.
Best Practices
- Organize subscriptions by airline — group subscriptions by airline for convenience
- Use IATA codes — they work in all languages and simplify search
- Avoid duplicates — check your list before adding a new subscription
- Review your list regularly — delete subscriptions you no longer need
